Anyone in Edinburgh, or in Scotland for that matter, should head across to the Edinburgh Zine Fest in Forest Cafe this Saturday. It looks like it’s going to be really great.

“The Edinburgh Zine Fair will be a celebration of independent and small
press publishing. We aim to host an event which will represent varied
approaches to grass roots publishing whether the form be illustration,
prose, poetry, comics, art or other weirdness.

The event will aim to provide a showcase for independent creator’s
work, an opportunity to meet likeminded individuals and groups and the
chance for visitors to the fair to discover the diverse intrigue of
underground publishing and attend exciting and innovative workshops
and readings.”

The Forest is a cool DIY space. It’s on Bristo Place, Edinburgh. The event has a bunch of stalls with zines, comics and AK Press all in attendence. Its 2pm - 8pm. Check out The Forest website for more details: http://www.theforest.org.uk/
